What does membership with Five to Thrive mean to you?

Health and fitness can both be measured on some imaginary contiuum. Most of us make our judgements as to who is healthy and fit based upon physical appearance. We all have an image in our mind as to what this means. Some people may appear by our standards to be unhealthy but may live for years relatively free of health issues. Other people may appear to be healthy on the outside when in reality they are not healthy at all. Regardless of who we are, and regardless of appearances, we all find ourselves somewhere on this "health contiuum".

 
 

 Here we see that genetics play a significant role in the level of health and fitness that we attain to. At the same time, we know that our lifestyle will significantly impact our over all level of health and fitness either for good or for bad regardless of our genetic make up. Our genes are beyond our control, but our lifestyle is not, and lifestyle is what we are going to devote our full attention to.

 At Five to Thrive we know that after genetics there are three things that will significantly influence your over all level of health and fitness and they are:

     1) Nutrition - how and what
         you eat
     2) Physical Activity - How 
         physically active you are
     3) Stress - The level of physical
         and mental stress you endure
         day to day

Our goal is to help you improve the way you live just a little, each and every day in each of these areas. We do this by:

     1) Teaching - In teaching we want to change the way you Think. We want you to view every waking moment of every day as an opportunity to improve your health through, nutrition, physical activity and stress management.

     2) Equipping - In equipping we are going to give you the tools and the mind set necessary to Live a life of fitness. Not just three times a week at the gym, but from the time you get up in the morning until the time you fall in bed at night, seven days a week.

     3) Encouraging - With Five to Thrive you are not alone. We will be with you 24/7, teaching, equipping, encouraging and challenging! You are why we do what we do, we want you suceed.
